ROCHESTER, N.Y. – SUNY Geneso sophomore Olivia Baumann finished fifth out of 243 runners to lead the Knights to second place out of 18 teams at the Harry F. Anderson Invitational, hosted by Roberts Wesleyan, Saturday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Baumann covered the five-kilometer course in a time of 18:45.4.
- Junior Cassidy McGinn was the next Knight across the line in 16th place (19:17.4) followed by first-year Samantha Padula in 21st (19:21.9).
- Sophomore Eileen Reinhardt finished 23rd (19:26.3) to close Geneseo's top-five while first-years Zoe Wilki-Tomasik (19:39.4) and Victoria Padula (19:40.0) followed in 26th and 27th, respectively.
- Host Roberts Wesleyan totaled a winning team score of 40 to while runner-up Geneseo totaled 87 points.
Geneseo hosts the Mike Woods Invitational at the Letchworth State Park Highbanks Recreation Area next Saturday (Sept. 29) at 11:00 a.m.
