Barreca, Knights Top Field at Oswego Invitational

OSWEGO, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo senior Laura Barreca took first place, crossing the finish in 14:44.0 to lead the Knights to a top team finish at the 28th Annual Oswego Invitational on Saturday


  • Barreca traversed the 4,000-meter course in 14:44.0 to take first, followed closely by junior Dana Cebulski (14:49.9), who finished second.
  • Geneseo runners finished fourth through ninth as well, with first-year Julia Hoyt, sophomore Olivia Baumann, sophomore Emily Pomainville, first-year Samantha Padula, sophomore Missy Graham and first-year Zoe Wilki-Tomasik each crossing in order. 
  • The team scored a total of 18 points to defeat Oswego and William Smith, who tied for second with 61 points apiece.
