Nick D’Amuro ’13 enters his second season as an assistant coach in the throws for the Knights.

Nick made an immediate impact during his first season with the squad, leading walk-on Rio Lee '20 to the fifth-best hammer throw (45.92m) in program history along with a fourth-place finish at the SUNYAC Outdoor Championships in the Discus (41.92m).

D’Amuro is currently a full-time secondary social studies teacher in the Holley Central School District and also coaches football and track & field for the Hawks. He has coached seven section five qualifiers, and six section five finalists in the throws.

Graduating from Geneseo with a bachelor’s degree in history and adolescent education along with a minor in political science, he later received his masters in adolescent social studies education from Brockport in 2016.

A four-year member of the Knights track & field team, D’Amuro was a multiple SUNYAC qualifier in the shot put, weight throw, and hammer, competing on four SUNYAC Championship teams (two indoor, two outdoor).
