Sanabria’s Big Day Lifts Men’s Soccer past Bengals in SUNYAC Quarterfinals

BUFFALO, N.Y. - Junior midfielder Isaac Sanabria scored the game-winning goal and added an assist as the sixth-seeded Knights advanced past third seed Buffalo State on Saturday in the quarterfinal round of the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Tournament.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Just before halftime, senior forward Reidis Lata played a long through-ball past the Bengals' back line that Sanabria ran down and slotted to put the Knights ahead 1-0.

In the 75th minute, Sanabria ripped in a cross from the right flank that found senior midfielder Nick Keneally in the box. Keneally one-timed a shot past the Buffalo State goalkeeper to give the Knights an insurance goal.

Making five saves to preserve the shutout, sophomore goalkeeper Dillon Medd earned the win in net, his first postseason victory.
