Keenan Named Herb Hammond SUNYAC Player Of The Year, Mackay Tabbed Co-Goalkeeper Of The Year

GENESEO, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo senior forward Conlan Keenan earned his second Herb Hammond SUNYAC Player of the Year Award while junior goalkeeper Aaron Mackay was named SUNYAC Co-Goalkeeper of the Year, announced Thursday.

Keenan has paced the Geneseo offense with a team-high 22 goals and added 28 assists for 50 points. With 172 career points on 86 goals and 86 assists, Keenan ranks as the active career points leader in NCAA Division III men's ice hockey. He becomes just the sixth player in SUNYAC history to earn two Herb Hammond Player of the Year awards and the first since Stephen Collins '17 won the award in 2016 and 2017. 

Mackay earned Co-Goalkeeper of the Year after posting a 1.97 goals against average and a 13-2-1 mark in goal. Mackay recorded two shutouts this season, including a 30-save clean sheet in the SUNYAC Semifinal as the Knights defeated visiting Potsdam, 7-0. 

Geneseo earned the top seed in the SUNYAC Tournament and will host second seed Oswego in the SUNYAC Championship game on Saturday, March 7 at 7:00 p.m.
