Genny Corcoran, Women's Cross Country
Major: Childhood Education

Corcoran finished an All-American 20th to lead the Knights to fifth place out of 32 teams at the NCAA Division III Championships. She crossed the 6-kilometer finish line with a 21:42.3 clocking as Geneseo posted its fourth top-five finish in the last five seasons.

Celeste Pace, Women's Swimming & Diving
Major: Business Administration
INTERVIEW WITH PACE

Pace finished the 100 fly in 58.68, setting an Alumni Pool record. She and the 400 medley relay team, comprised of sophomores Deidra Osula and Lauren Siegel with first-year Megan Palmer, also finished in a pool record time of 4:00.35. Pace placed first in the 200 fly (2:15.77) and the 100 Free (54.85) as well.

Jennifer Moran, Women's Soccer
Major: Business Administration
INTERVIEW WITH MORAN

Moran scored a pair of goals in the Knights' SUNYAC Semifinal victory over Plattsburgh, 2-0, and played hard in the midfield in the finals as the Knights earned their second-consecutive SUNYAC Championship. Moran was named Tournament MVP and received the SUNYAC Elite 20 award, given to the student-athlete with the highest GPA that competes in the championship. 

Oct. 29 - Elise Ramirez, Women's Cross Country
Major: Biology
INTERVIEW WITH RAMIREZ

Ramirez won her second-straight individual championship to lead the Knights to their eighth-consecutive State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Women's Cross Country Championship, Saturday, hosted by Fredonia. Finishing the 6k race in 24:02.8, Ramirez was the first of five-consecutive Geneseo runners to cross the finish line for a perfect 15-point winning team score, while the Knights' top-seven all placed in the top-nine.

Oct. 22 - Emily Ast, Women's Volleyball
Major: Accounting
INTERVIEW WITH AST

Ast led the Knights to a 3-0 Pool Play record as Geneseo clinched the top seed for the SUNYAC Tournament. She compiled 29 assists and three service aces while directing the Knights' to a season-high .303 team hitting percentage in a 3-0 sweep of Plattsburgh on Friday. On Saturday, she was credited with 32 assists and five digs as in a 3-0 win over New Paltz before leading the way with 15 digs, 39 assists and three service aces in a 3-1 win over Fredonia to clinch the first 9-0 conference record in program history.

Oct. 15 - Emily Janiszewski, Women's Soccer
Major: Business Administration
INTERVIEW WITH JANISZEWSKI

Janiszewski produced yet another shutout, bringing her season total to nine clean sheets. She made three saves as the Knights blanked Brockport, 1-0, on Saturday at College Stadium to remain perfect in conference play. Janiszewski leads the SUNYAC and ranks second in the nation in goals against average (.090), with only one goal allowed in 11 games. The Geneseo defense has rattled off eight-consecutive shutouts and has not allowed a goal since Sept. 12.

Oct. 8 - Sam Mendelsohn, Women's Volleyball
Major: Communication
INTERVIEW WITH MENDELSOHN

Mendelsohn anchored the Knights to three SUNYAC Pool Play victories last week. She started with 21 digs and added two service aces as the Knights limited two-time defending conference champion Brockport to a -.008 hitting percentage in a 3-0 sweep, Friday. She then added 13 digs in a 3-0 sweep of Cortland and 11 digs and three service aces in a 3-0 win over host Buffalo State on Saturday.

Oct. 1 - Caitie Cunningham, Women's Soccer 
Major: Psychology & Business Administration
INTERVIEW WITH CUNNINGHAM

Cunningham led the Knights to a pair of victories over conference opponents Buffalo State, 3-0, on Friday and Fredonia, 4-0, on Saturday. Against the Bengals, Cunningham scored the go-ahead goal, and assisted on Geneseo's other two scores. Against the Blue Devils, Cunningham scored again, netting her third goal in three games as the Knights rolled to the win.

Sept. 24 - Julia Kim, Field Hockey
Major: Childhood & Special Education
INTERVIEW WITH KIM

Kim anchored a Geneseo defense that only allowed two goals in a pair of victories last week. The Knights didn't allow a penalty corner in Tuesday's 5-2 win at Keuka or in Saturday's 10-0 victory at Morrisville to open SUNYAC play. Kim also tallied a goal in both contests, including the opening score in Tuesday's win.

Sept. 17 - Julianna Schulz, Women's Tennis
Major: Biochemistry

Schulz finished the week with a total of four victories, leading the Knights to a 7-2 victory over Cortland on Friday and then to a solid performance at the Swarthmore Invitational on Saturday and Sunday. 

Sept. 10 - Laura Barreca, Women's Cross Country
Major: Chemistry
INTERVIEW WITH BARRECA

Barreca finished first in the Oswego Invitational, crossing the finish line in 14:44.0. Barreca led the Knights to a first place team finish, as the team scored 17 points to top Oswego and William Smith.

Sept. 4 - Grace Cergol, Volleyball
Major: Communication

Cergol was named Tournament MVP of the North Country Season Opener after leading the Knights to a 4-0 record to start the season. On Saturday, she notched 14 kills on 27 swings (.481 H%) to go along with 10 digs in a 3-1 win over Keuka before totaling 14 kills on 26 swings (.462 H%) and five digs in a 3-0 sweep of Coast Guard. For the weekend, she attacked at a .427 clip while averaging while averaging 4.33 kills/set.
